isso já faz uns anos, mas eu lembro que teve um show aqui... desses showzinhos undergrounds que sempre tem, sabe? se eu não me engano foi na atpn. eu não fui nesse dia, não lembro pq, acho que fiquei em casa, mas uns amigos foram. aí, no meio da noite, uma amiga me liga desesperada. claro que não consegui ouvir nada do que ela disse, pq ela já estava meio bêbada e estava o maior barulho.
no dia seguinte a gente se encontrou, e ela disse que tinha uma banda de meninas tocando lá... dessas riot girls mesmo. não lembro qual era o nome, e acho que a banda nem existe mais. mas a ideia é que ela foi ver o show, já um pouco bêbada, que estava rolando. a banda terminou uma música e a vocalista anunciou que elas iriam fazer um cover de 'tick' do yeah yeah yeahs. minha amiga disse que lembrou de mim na hora e foi aí que ela percebeu o quanto a vocalista da banda estava bêbada. era tipo, completamente.
mas já era. elas começaram o cover e a menina enloqueceu: berrou no microfone, chutou a bateria, se jogou no chão... e aí, no final da música, justamente quando karen o fica naquele 'tickticktickticktick' alucinado, cada vez mais desesperada; justamente aí, a vocalista foi gritando 'tickticktick' e fez igualzinho, até que, assim que gritou o último 'tick', em que a música toda parou de repente, ela desmaiou.

a modelo sul-coreana Daul Kim foi encontrada morta em seu apartamento em Paris, na última quinta-feira, dia 19. ela cometeu suicídio através de enforcamento.
sua carreira deslanchou no ano passado e ela chegou a ser considerada a 17ª modelo feminina mais importante do ano. atualmente, ainda era uma das super top models que mais se destacavam no cenário da moda, tendo desfilado recentemente para Chanel e Alexander McQueen. além de ter aparecido em capas de diversas publicações de moda, incluindo Vogue, i-D e Harper's Baazar.
desde 2007, Daul mantinha um blog chamado "i like to fork myself", onde ela postava constantemente sobre os mais diversos assuntos. todos os títulos dos posts eram inciados com "say hi to...".
logo no começo das postagens, a modelo publicou polaroids suas em posições sexuais com outros rapazes, gerando polêmica entre os leitores. as fotos foram retiradas a pedido da mãe de Daul. a garota se justificou: "im just having fun with my french gay boys…".
o último post do blog foi publicado na quinta-feira, dia 18. o título era "say hi to forever". nele, Kim postava uma música de Jim Rivers, a qual ela mesma intitulou "best track forever".
Daul Kim tinha 20 anos de idade.

o fotógrafo e artista nova iorquino Dash Snow, morreu na última segunda-feira, dia 13. nunca conheci o trabalho dele a fundo, até pq ele só ganhou fama recentemente, mas sempre gostei do que vi.
e pelo que eu conheço, morrer de overdose, aos 27 anos, no dia do rock não deve ter sido mera coincidência...
